After a busy 2 weeks tied to my worktable, I spent this past weekend nourishing in one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had. This game had it all by way of very little. It was a masterpiece unfolding on my TV. Seriously. I was floored by this. Like, holy shit.

Dude, same here. I HATED the last colossus, cause he was a bitch to beat, but holy hell, this game was soooo simple and good and beautiful.
the veeeery last of the ending gave me a little reason to curl my nose and furrow my brow, but it was wonderful, none the less.

OMG, i beat this game and was so sad to think that it was over. Have you ever played ICO, its made by the same folks, its my all-time favorite game ever!!!!! I still can't stop thinking about the ending to SOTC though, it was so worth the adventure.

C, me too! The last boss was a royal pain but it made the deathblow SO worth it. The fact you could pump your weapon was genius! That little pause before you strike. Wanda putting his heart and soul into it. Damn. That was good. I finished this in a day. I couldn't put it down.
Sam, Yeah, man! ICO is great. I have it and just replayed it a week ago. The use of light and atmosphere were amazing. The endings in both are sublime. I was slightly hoping for a makeout scene in Shadow but that woulda been too conventional for an unconventional game. Big ups to how it ended.
Gotta say, the turtle boss was my fave. The steam shooting outta the ground. Aw, man. Beautiful.

(to start, the main characters name is Wander. A lot of people mistake it for "Wanda" because of a misperception of the japanese pronounciation. This is due to the fact that they realy didn't hire any english voiceacters, and because the language in the game doesnt realy exist, it wouldn't have made any sense to do so.)
I absolutely LOVED SOTC! The art style was completely gorgious and the gameplay kept me amused for days(though thats not realy a huge feat) even thought it only took me a day to beat it on normal.
But dispite how wonderfull it was, i was very dissapointed by the ending. I know romanticizing it to where Mono wakes up and loves him and he loves her, and blablabla they live happily ever after would be lame, but come on. Being turned into a baby? At least have Wander die and Mono wake up pregnant or somthing. Cause doing all that work just to be turned into a baby, an ugly one at that, just gave me this fealing of "Well THAT was pointles!"
